Is it OK to get press on nails wet?

  1. Short-term exposure: Quick hand washing or getting your nails wet briefly won’t usually cause any issues. The adhesive used on press-ons is designed to hold up to moisture to a certain extent.

  2. Extended exposure: If your nails are exposed to water for long periods (like soaking in a bath, doing dishes, or swimming), the adhesive could start to weaken over time, especially if it’s not a super strong glue or if the press-ons are thinner.

  3. Drying thoroughly: After your nails get wet, it’s important to dry them off completely, especially around the edges where water could potentially lift the press-on.

To help your press-ons last, avoid soaking your nails or putting too much pressure on them in wet environments. If you’re planning to be in water a lot, you could use a stronger adhesive or opt for gel press-ons, which tend to be more durable.
